Signs

To facilitate drivers to distinguish the no-stopping restriction time periods, different colored sign posts are used:

Road markings	Color of the Sign Post	Signs at beginning and end of zone	Signs at intervals along the roads	No-stopping Restriction Time Period
Do not stop during the time period shown	Red			7:00 am – 12:00 midnight
	Yellow			7:00 am – 7:00 pm
	Green			8:00 am – 10:00 am and 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Do not stop at any time	Grey			For all other time periods

The no-stopping restriction time period is subject to the signs, there may be no yellow lines marked on the road and the color of the sign post is for reference only.

France, the United Kingdom and Australia have been using road signs in brown color on tourist attractions or historic buildings. Hong Kong also started to adopt brown road signs in recent years to make it easier for drivers to locate the tourist destinations.
