All businesses have an impact on the environment. It is therefore the duty of every business to manage the environmental impact of the products it procures, produces and sells in order to help protect the biodiversity of the natural environment. A business can reduce its impact by cutting back on its use of water and energy and reducing the greenhouse gases and waste it produces.

Eco-friendly suppliers, products and projects

Environmental protection is one of the most important criteria we use in selecting our suppliers and products. Our key service providers have ISO14001 environmental management systems and standards and / or are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. We also select office machines that minimise energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions, relative to similar products in the market.

Our energy efficiency initiatives, which are designed to improve resource management and help protect the environment, have received an "Energywi$e Certificate – Good Level" under the Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification by the Environmental Campaign Committee.

In June 2019, we were once again awarded the Environment Bureau's "Platinum Award" for supporting the Charter on External Lighting, which helps reduce light pollution and energy wastage from external lighting installations.

We set goals to reduce, reuse and recycle waste within our operations. We have been awarded the "Wastewi$e Certificate – Excellence Level" by the Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification, which is led by the Environmental Campaign Committee.

Eco-friendly environment for staff members and customers
We endeavour to select eco-friendly materials and supplies for all offices and branches. These include the use of LED lighting, energy-saving lamps and low-VOC emission carpeting and furniture, which minimise environmental damages and health risks to staff and customers. We also set the more than 2,600 personal computers installed in our offices, to power saving mode.
