The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the offer at any time without prior notice.

All matters and disputes will be subjected to the final decision of the Bank.

Promotion period is valid until 31 December 2012 ("the Promotion Period"). Welcome gift is only applicable to the cardholder who successfully applied the Dah Sing UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card ("Credit Card") within the promotion period and who currently does not hold and/or in the past 12 months has not held or cancelled any principal and supplementary credit cards of any card type issued by Dah Sing Bank (“the Bank”). Each new principal card cardholder can only entitle to welcome gift ONCE only regardless of the number of principal card applied.

For Principal Card Cardholder who chooses "HK$250 Cash Rebate", he/she will be entitled to the Welcome Gift upon accumulated retail purchase or cash advance of HK$2,800 or above and being posted to the relevant credit card account within the first 2 months from card-issuance.

For Principal Card Cardholder who chooses "Up to HK$60,000 Free Interest & Service Charge Installment Plan", he/she can enjoy up to HK$60,000 and 15-month Free Interest and Service Charge Cash-In Plan (“the Plan”) without any spending requirement once the card is approved. The Cash-in amount of the Plan is subject to the final approved credit limit of Dah Sing Bank Credit Card account. The Cash-in amount is up to 90% of credit limit (the minimum amount required is HK$3,000 while the maximum is HK$60,000). The Bank has the absolute discretionary right to determine the final Cash-In amount of the cardholder and is not obliged to provide reasons. A confirmation letter will be mailed to the Principal cardholder within 1 month whilst his/her credit card has been approved. Cardholder may contact Dah Sing Bank Customer Service Hotline 2828 8002 to accept the Cash-In offer or by completing the confirmation letter and return to the bank with required documents by mail / fax within 60 days since card issuance. Upon receipt of all necessary documents, the Bank requires approximate 2 weeks to process the request and disburse the fund to the cardholder's designated personal Hong Kong dollar currency bank account (the "Relevant Bank Account"). The receiving bank may deduct the handling fee from the Relevant Bank Account. The Bank is not liable for the mentioned handling fee or any interest or other expense caused by this. The cardholder has to arrange with receiving bank for the expense or interest (if applicable) directly. The Bank will debit the Credit Card Account (the "Relevant Account") with the approved Cash-In amount by 15 consecutive monthly installments, commencing from such date as the Bank may prescribe at its discretion. The Bank will debit an amount equivalent to the Cash-In amount from the credit limit of the Relevant Account until the last installment has been debited. The Bank will proportionally increase the deducted credit limit every month after the Bank has successfully debited the Relevant Account with the Cash-In amount due. No financial charge will be charged provided that the cardholder makes full payment of the credit card statement balance on or before the payment due date. For cardholder who makes partial payment of the credit card statement balance, cardholder shall pay a finance charge on any monthly installment amount due but unpaid at the prevailing interest rate of the Relevant Account. On default of payment of any monies due under the Relevant Account or in case of breach of any provisions of the applicable terms and conditions governing the use of Dah Sing Credit Card Cardholder Agreement ("Agreement") or any of these terms and conditions by cardholder or in case of cancellation or termination of the Relevant Account or the Plan for whatever reasons, all outstanding installments or balance or monies owing under these terms and conditions shall be immediately due and payable by cardholder and shall at the absolute discretion of the Bank, be debited against the Relevant Account and a Cash-In plan cancellation fee of HK$300 will be charged by the Bank, therefore, the Agreement shall apply to all the said installments or balance. The Bank has the right to accept or reject any application without providing any reason. The Plan is not applicable for "Credit Card Bonus Point Scheme", "Instant Cash Reward" / "Cash Rebate", "Mileage Program", "JFT Dollars" and any other Bonus Point or Cash Rebate Reward Program. Even if these terms and conditions have to be stipulated by other articles, the Bank has the right to inform the cardholder to suspend or terminate the Plan. These terms and conditions shall form part of the Agreement and shall be construed accordingly. In case of any inconsistency discrepancy between these terms and conditions and the Agreement, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

Gift choice cannot be changed once confirmed.

The valid accumulated spending for welcome gift include retail purchase, cash advance, "Happy Installment" installment amount, Cash-in Plan installment amount, Branch Cash-in installment amount, autopay, recurring billing transactions, balance transfer amount posted, Stocks Investment Savings Plan, "Payeasy" bill payment amount, "Jet Payment" payment amount, interest-free monthly installment amount, gift redemption fee (if applicable), cheque payment (if applicable), Octopus Automatic Add Value Service amount. But excluding the following transactions, including but not limited to bank handling fee (including but not limited to annual fee, financial charge, late fee and cash advance handling fee etc), casino transactions, unposted / cancelled / refunded and all unauthorized transactions. Retail purchase and cash advance of Supplementary Card will be combined to the Principal Card account. The Bank reserves the final decision for determining the eligibility of the transaction to be included in the welcome gift.

The Bank will determine the applicable Welcome Offers of each eligible Cardholder based on the Cardholders' transaction records held with the Bank.

Welcome gift of "HK$250 Cash Rebate" will be credited to the eligible Principal Card Cardholder within one month upon fulfilling the spending requirement. The relevant credit card account must be valid and in good standing status at the time of cash rebate credit.

Cash rebate will be credited into the Principal Cardholder's Credit Card account in form of credit card free spending credit. Credit card free spending credit will be used for payment of new transaction items, it is not transferable, refundable or cannot be exchanged for cash or any other discount offer.

"My Favorite Merchant" Reward Scheme is applicable to Dah Sing "My Favorite Merchant" Credit Card listed on this website. Until December 2012's (the "10X Cash Rebate Promotion Period") statement cycle, for spending at registered "My Favorite Merchants" (maximum 5 merchants), apart from the basic Cash Rebate (the "Basic Cash Rebate") (HK$1 Rebate for every HK$200 spending), Cardholders can also enjoy extra 9X Cash Rebate (the "Extra 9X Cash Rebate"), i.e. extra HK$9 Rebate for every HK$200 spending. During the "10X Cash Rebate" Promotion Period, each qualified account can enjoy up to HK$100 "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" in each monthly statement, all Rebate afterwards will be counted based on the Basic Cash Rebate rate. Cash Rebate will be counted based on every single transaction amount.

1. Basic Cash Rebate is applicable to retail transactions and Octopus AAVS amount; "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" is applicable to retail transactions in "My Favorite Merchants" only, NOT applicable to Octopus AAVS amount. The following transactions are not eligible for any Cash Rebate, including but not limited to cash advance, autopay, "Happy Installment" installment amount, Cash-in Plan amount, Branch Cash-in, balance transfer amount, Stocks Investment Savings Plan, "Payeasy" bill payment amount, "Jet Payment" payment amount, tax payment, interest-free monthly installment amount, cheque payment (if applicable), bank handling fee (including but not limited to annual fee, financial charge, late fee and cash advance handling fee etc), casino transactions, unposted / cancelled / refunded and all unauthorized transactions. The "Cash rebate" offer shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the Cardholder Agreement. The Bank reserves the final decision on the applicability of the "Cash rebate".
2. "My Favorite Merchant" Registration (the "Registration") could be done and modified in Dah Sing Bank (The "Bank") "My Favorite Merchant" Registration Webpage. The Registration will be effective on the next working day after each update. The Bank will calculate "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" based on the "My Favorite Merchant" List (the "List") which has been effective on statement day or previous working day (if statement day is non-working). Registration time is subject to the Bank's system record.
   • Example 1: Assumed Cardholder's statement day is the 6th of every month and 6 October is a working day. If the Cardholder update his/her List on 5 October, the List will be effective on 6 October and the Bank will calculate the "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" based on it.
   • Example 2: Assumed Cardholder's statement day is the 4th of every month and 3 & 4 October are not working days. As the original statement day is a non-working day, the Bank will calculate "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" on the previous working day (i.e. 2 October). If Cardholder updates his/her List on 1 October, it will be effective on 2 October and will be used for "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" calculation in October's statement. Updates made during 2-4 October will only be used for calculation in November's statement.
3. "My Favorite Merchant" Reward Scheme is applicable to both Principal and Supplementary Cardholders. Each Principal or Supplementary Credit Cardholder can choose their own "My Favorite Merchant" and should register it at their respective e-Banking accounts. Each Principal or Supplementary Credit Card Account can enjoy up to HK$100 "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" respectively during the "10X Cash Rebate Promotion Period".
4. "My Favorite Merchant" Reward Scheme calculates and offers the "Extra 9X Cash Rebate" based on respective merchants and their acquiring bank's credit card settlement system setting. In case such system setting was being changed and induced cardholders fail to enjoy the "Extra 9X Cash Rebate", the Bank will not be responsible.
5. In case of the RMB Account of CUP Dual Currency Card, the currency unit of above mentioned spending and rebate amount will be in RMB. The eligible spending amount of HKD account and RMB account in the same Dah Sing “My Favorite Merchant” CUP Dual Currency Credit Card will be counted separately.
