- Promotion Period is valid from now to 31 December 2012 ('Promotional Period'). Welcome Gifts are only applicable to brand new cardholders (i.e. did not hold / cancel any "Dah Sing APITA UNY PIAGO Platinum Card", "Dah Sing UNY APITA Classic Card", "Dah Sing APITA UNY Classic Card" or "Dah Sing PIAGO APITA UNY Classic Card" in the past 12-month) who successfully applied for the "Dah Sing APITA UNY PIAGO Platinum Card" or "Dah Sing UNY APITA Classic Card" within the Promotional Period. Each new Principal Cardholder can receive only ONE welcome gift regardless of the number of Credit Card(s) listed in this application form is/are applied. Gift cannot be converted into cash.
- Welcome gift for "Dah Sing APITA UNY PIAGO Platinum Card" (Platinum Card) is either "HK$200 APITA UNY Gift Certificates" or "Up to HK$60,000 Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan". Welcome gift for "Dah Sing UNY APITA Classic Card" (Classic Card) is either "HK$100 APITA UNY Gift Certificates" or "Up to HK$60,000 Free Interest and Service Charge Gift Installment Plan". If customer applies for Platinum Card and choose "HK$200 APITA UNY Gift Certificates" as welcome gift but only classic card is approved, welcome gift will be "HK$ 100 APITA UNY Gift Certificates". If "Up to HK$60,000 Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Instalment Plan" is choosen but only Classic Card is approved, welcome gift will remain unchanged.
- In order to be entitled to the welcome gift offer of "HK$200 APITA UNY Gift Certificates" or "HK$100 APITA UNY Cash Certificates", eligible Principal Cardholder has to accumulate retail purchase and / or cash advance of HK$2,000 or above within the first 2 months from card issuance.
- "Up to HK$60,000 Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" is not applicable to cardholders who have ever held/cancelled any Dah Sing Bank Credit Cards (either Principal or Supplementary Card) in the past 12-month. For those who failed to meet this requirement, Dah Sing Bank (the "Bank") shall amend the gift preference to "HK$200 APITA UNY Gift Certificates" (if "Dah Sing APITA UNY PIAGO Platinum Card" is approved) or "HK$100 APITA UNY Gift Certificates" (if "Dah Sing UNY APITA Classic Card" is approved), the Cardholders still have to meet requirement as stated in Clause 1 and 3 in order to get the gift. The Principal Cardholders who successfully apply for "Dah Sing APITA UNY PIAGO Platinum Card" / "Dah Sing UNY APITA Classic Card" can enjoy up to HK$60,000 and 15-month free interest and service charge Cash-in Installment without any spending requirement. The minimum amount for "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" is HK$3,000 while the maximum is HK$60,000 (depends on the approved credit limit of Dah Sing Credit Card account). The Bank has the absolute discretionary right to determine "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" amount. "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" amount reply slip will be mailed to the Principal Cardholder within 1 month whilst his/her credit card has been approved. Applicant is required to return the reply slip and required documents within 60 days of card issuance. When the Bank receives the reply slip, the Bank will credit the approved "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" amount to the applicant's designated personal Hong Kong dollar currency bank ("the Relevant Account") within 7 working days. The receivable bank may deduct the handling fee from the Relevant Account. The Bank is not liable for the mentioned handling fee or any interest or other expense caused by this. The applicant has to arrange the amount with receivable bank for the expense or interest directly (if applicable). The Bank will debit the Credit Card Account with the approved "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" amount by 15 consecutive monthly installments, commencing from such date as the Bank may prescribe at its discretion. The Bank will debit an amount equivalent to the "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" amount from the credit limit of the Credit Card Account until the last installment has been debited. The Bank will proportionally increase the deducted credit limit every month after the Bank successfully debits the Credit Card Account with the installment amount due. No financial charge will be calculated provided that the customers make full amount of the credit card statement balance on or before the payment due date. For customers who make partial payment of the credit card statement balance, customer shall pay a retail purchase finance charge on any monthly installment amount due but unpaid at the prevailing interest rate of customers' Platinum Card / Classic Card Account. On default of payment of any monies due under the Credit Card Account or in case of breach of any provisions of the applicable terms and conditions governing the use of Dah Sing Credit Card Cardholder Agreement ("Agreement") or any of these terms and conditions by applicant or in case of cancellation or termination of the Credit Card Account or "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" for whatever reason, all outstanding installments or balance or monies owing under these terms and conditions shall immediately due and payable by applicant and shall at the absolute discretion of the Bank, be debited against the Credit Card Account and an installment plan cancellation fee of HK$300 will be charged by the Bank, therefore, the Agreement shall apply to all the said installments or balance. The Bank has the right to accept or reject any application without providing any reason. "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan" is not applicable for "Bonus Point Scheme". Even if these terms and conditions have to be stipulated by other articles, the Bank has the right to inform the applicant to suspend or terminate "Free Interest and Service Charge Cash Installment Plan". These terms and conditions shall form part of the Agreement and shall be construed accordingly. In case of any inconsistency discrepancy between these terms and conditions and the Agreement, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
- The valid accumulated spending amount for welcome gift includes retail purchases, cash advances, "Jetso Installment" monthly installment amount, "Cash-in Plan" monthly installment amount, balance transfer amount (which has been debited to "Dah Sing APITA UNY PIAGO Platinum Card"/ "Dah Sing UNY APITA Classic Card account"), "Payeasy" bill payment, interest-free monthly installment amount and Octopus Automatic Add Value Service (Octopus AAVS) amount; but excluding the following transactions, including but not limited to bank handling fees (including annual fee, financial charge, late fee and cash advance handling fee etc), casino transactions, unposted / cancelled / refunded and all unauthorized transactions. Retail spending and cash advance transactions of Supplementary Card would be counted towards the Principal Card account.
- The gift redemption letter regarding the Welcome Gift will be sent to the eligible Principal Cardholder within one month upon fulfilling the spending requirement. The relevant Credit Card Account must be valid and in good standing status at the time of issuing the redemption letter, otherwise Cardholder will not be entitled to the Welcome Gift. Gift redemption is bound by respective Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions are set out on the redemption letter.
- Gift choice cannot be changed once confirmed.
- Welcome Gifts are on a first-come-first-serve basis while stocks last. In the event that the gift item is out of stock, Dah Sing Bank (the "Bank") reserves the right to substitute the Welcome Gifts with another offer without prior notice.
- If Principal Cardholder cancels his/her new Credit Card within 13 months of card-issuance date, the Bank reserves the right to debit a handling fee of HK$300 to the relevant Principal Card Account without prior notice.
- The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the offer at any time without prior notice.
- All matters and disputes are suject to the final decision of the Bank

For every HK$1 spent at UNY, APITA or PIAGO, Platinum Card Cardholders can earn 3 bonus points and Classic Card Cardholders can earn 2 bonus points. For transactions made with the Card on your birthday, both Platinum and Classic Cards Cardholders can earn an extra point for every HK$1 spent (i.e. 2 bonus points for every HK$1). The valid transactions for "Bonus Point Scheme" include retail purchase and Octopus AAVS amount only, but excluding the following transactions, including but not limited to cash advance, "Jetso Installment" amount, "Cash-in Plan" amount, balance transfer amount, "Payeasy" bill payment, tax payment, interest-free installment amount, bank handling fees (including annual fee, financial charges, late fee and cash advance handling fee etc), casino transaction, unposted / cancelled / transactions eventually returned and all unauthorized transactions. For payment with Platinum / Classic Card through e-banking service, a service fee of 1% of the payment amount will be charged (applicable to the pre-registered merchants only).
