Promotion period is valid until 31 December 2012 ("the Promotion Period"). HK$300 Cash Rebate ("Welcome gift") is only applicable to new Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card Principal Cardholder (i.e. not holding Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card Principal Card in the past 12 months) who successfully applied for Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card ("Credit Card") within the promotion period and fulfilled the spending requirement. To enjoy HK$300 Cash Rebate, Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card Cardholder ("Cardholder") has to accumulate a retail spending or cash advance of HK$2,800 or above within the first 2 months from card issuance. Each new Principal Cardholder can enjoy the welcome gift once only regardless of the number of Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card applied. The valid accumulated spending amount for welcome gift includes retail purchases, cash advances, "Jetso Installment" monthly installment amount, "Cash-in Plan" monthly installment amount, balance transfer amount (which has been debited to Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card account), "Payeasy" bill payment, interest-free monthly installment amount and Octopus Automatic Add Value Service (Octopus AAVS) amount; but excluding the following transactions, including but not limited to bank handling fees (including annual fee, financial charge, late fee and cash advance handling fee etc), casino transactions, unposted / cancelled / refunded and all unauthorized transactions. Retail spending and cash advance transactions of Supplementary Card would be counted towards the Principal Card account. HK$300 Cash Rebate will be credited into the Principal Cardholder's Credit Card account within 8 weeks upon fulfilling the above-mentioned spending requirement. Notification letter will be issued to Cardholder, the relevant Credit Card account must be valid and in good standing at the time of posting. Cash rebate will be credited to Cardholder's Credit Card account in the form of credit card free spending credit. Credit card free spending credit will be used for payment of new transaction items, it is not transferable, refundable or cannot be exchanged for cash. If Principal Cardholder cancels the Credit Card account within 13 months from card issuance, Dah Sing Bank ("the Bank") reserves the rights to debit a handling fee of HK$300 from the relevant Principal Card account without prior notice. The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the offer at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the rights to make final decision.

The Bank will charge HK$100 for each Personalized Octopus Card (including HK$50 for deposit, HK$30 for stored value and HK$20 for non-refundable handling fee) for Octopus Card Limited. The current daily automatic add-value amount is HK$250 or HK$500. There is no charge if you have already had Personalized Octopus Card. There is no application fee for the first time application for the Octopus AAVS. For existing users of the Octopus AAVS, Octopus Card Limited will charge non-refundable handling fee of HK$20 for transferring the Octopus AAVS from one bank to another, or reactivation of the Octopus AAVS suspension. Such fee(s) will be debited from Cardholder's Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card account upon successful application of the Credit Card. Should applicants who opt for auto-reloading HK$500 per transaction want to switch to another bank that only provides the option of auto-reloading HK$250 thereafter, applicants should either change the auto-reloading amount to HK$250 or cancel the Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card Octopus AAVS before switching to another bank. Applicants are required to pay Octopus Cards Limited the required handling fee. Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card Principal Card Cardholder can apply for "Happy Family" Octopus AAVS for a maximum of 3 family members aged 12 or above (the "Eligible Customer"). To enjoy the Octopus AAVS 5% rebate offer ("the Offer"), Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card Principal and Supplementary Cardholder(s) have to simultaneously apply for Octopus AAVS or "Happy Family" Octopus AAVS (if applicable) successfully within 2 months from Principal Card issuance in the Promotional Period. The Offer is only applicable to the Octopus AAVS amount for the Principal Cardholder, Supplementary Cardholder and Eligible Customer. Principal Cardholder or Supplementary Cardholder has to make at least one retail transaction with the Credit Card each month, the Octopus AAVS amount for Principal Cardholder, Supplementary Cardholder(s) and Eligible Customer of the corresponding month will be entitled to 5% rebate offer. The valid transaction include retail purchase only, but excluding the following transactions, including but not limited to cash advance, "Jetso Installment" amount, "Cash-in Plan" amount, balance transfer amount, "Payeasy" bill payment, tax payment, interest-free installment amount, bank handling fees (including annual fee, financial charge, late fee and cash advance handling fee etc), casino transaction, unposted / cancelled / transactions eventually returned and all unauthorized transactions. The Octopus AAVS transaction will be cut-off on the last calendar day of each month, the rebate amount for both the Principal Cardholder, Supplementary Cardholder(s) and the Eligible Customer will be credited into Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Principal Card account within 1-2 weeks after the cut-off date. The rebate amount will be used for payment of new transaction items (rebate amount is not transferable, refundable or cannot be exchanged for cash). The relevant Credit Card account must be valid and in good standing and must maintain Octopus AAVS (applicable to Principal Cardholder and Supplementary Cardholder(s)) and "Happy Family" Octopus AAVS account (if applicable) at the time of posting cash rebate. The Offer is only applicable to the first HK$500 Octopus AAVS amount of each month for each customer, i.e. the maximum rebate amount for each customer is HK$25 per month. Each customer can be entitled to the Offer for 12 months only upon the successful set up date of Octopus AAVS. To settle the Diocesan Boys' School tuition fee, school bus fare or lunch box fee etc. with Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card by direct debit authorization payment service, Cardholder is required to apply for this service by completing the relevant direct debit authorization form available at Diocesan Boys' School and submits it to Diocesan Boys' School after card issuance. The direct debit authorization payment service is subject to terms and conditions stated in the relevant direct debit authorization form. Cardholder can enjoy double cash rebate (HK$2 cash rebate for every spending transaction of HK$250) for settlement of Diocesan Boys' School related payment with Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card. Diocesan Boys' School related payment includes but not limited to Diocesan Boys' School tuition fee, extra curricular activities expenses and miscellaneous school payments (including stationery fee, school uniform fee, lunch box fee and school bus fare etc.). "Cash Rebate Scheme" is calculated base on individual transaction. For every HK$250 spent with Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card will earn HK$1 cash rebate. Double cash rebate would be awarded for transactions made on Cardholder's birthday. The valid transactions for "Cash Rebate Scheme" include retail purchase and Octopus AAVS amount only, but excluding the following transactions, including but not limited to cash advance, "Jetso Installment" amount, "Cash-in Plan" amount, balance transfer amount, "Payeasy" bill payment, tax payment, interest-free installment amount, bank handling fees (including annual fee, financial charge, late fee and cash advance handling fee etc), casino transaction, unposted / cancelled / transactions eventually returned and all unauthorized transactions. Cardholder can enjoy double cash rebate for overseas transactions. Overseas transaction is only applicable to transactions in Hong Kong currencies or foreign currencies made outside of Hong Kong; And transactions in foreign currencies which is made in Hong Kong and transactions at any merchant not registered in Hong Kong. (i) For customer who successfully applied for Kids Savings Account, the cash rebate earned from "Cash Rebate Scheme" by both Principal Cardholder and Supplementary Cardholder(s) will be credited into the designated Kids Savings Account. In case more than one Kids Savings Account were setup, cash rebate will be divided in proportion among all Kids Savings Accounts. The cash rebate will be divided down to unit dollar and remainder will be credited to the first registered Kids Savings Account (according to the Bank's record). A maximum of 3 Kids Savings Accounts can be linked to each Credit Card. For customers who failed to apply for Kids Savings Accounts, the cash rebate will be credited to the respective Credit Card account.
(ii) For customer who does not apply for Kids Savings Account, the cash rebate earned by Principal Cardholder and Supplementary Cardholder(s) will be credited into the Principal Credit Card and Supplementary Credit Card account(s) respectively.
(iii) If customer cancels or returns the relevant transactions after posting of cash rebate, the Bank reserves the right to debit the amount equivalent to the value of cash rebate given to customers from the Credit Card account without prior notice. To enjoy year round merchant offer, Cardholder is required to present Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card upon payment and settle the payment with the Credit Card. For details, please refer to the year-round offer leaflet, which will be sent along with the Credit Card to Cardholder. For payment with Dah Sing Distinction Platinum Card through e-banking service, a service fee of 1% of the payment amount will be charged (applicable to the pre-registered merchants only). No cash rebate will be awarded for e-banking service. For information of the merchant list, please visit www.dahsing.com. The Bank reserves the rights to amend these terms and conditions and / or amend or terminate this offer at any time without prior notice. All matters and disputes will be subject to the final decision of the Bank.
